Been busy...

Ok, so it's been quite some time since I've forced myself to take the time and update this. A lot has happened since the last entry so hopefully I'll be able to mention most if not all of the important things....

First off... The baseball team went to state. There were two teams from Burnsville, and both my brothers were on the black team. They were guaranteed three games. The first game was Friday night (August 5), and they played a St. Paul team. They were doing really well and were ahead, but then in the end lost the game. Their second game was against Andover, and they won. Their third game was against Edina, and they one that game also. However, that was where they finished. The best team from each pool (I think there were 6) went on. It ended up being that the St. Paul team we lost to won the overall tournament. It was fun, but I think in a sense the boys are glad to be done.

Second item... Nathan had his birthday on August 9th. He is now 16!!!! It makes me feel even older considering I'm seven years older than him. Shawn will be 15 on August 15th! It seems like time just flies by.

Third and final item.... Last night I had my five year class reunion from high school. It was quite interesting yet I'm glad I decided to go. People basically didn't seem to change much, but the hard part was seeing people and knowing you recognized them but couldn't remember their name for the life of you. It was funny watching people stand in little groups with the people they knew and pointing at people trying to put a name with the face. It was nice seeing that people no longer stood in their little "cliques" and had grown up enough to just go talk to people they would never have associated with back then. There were still some people that hadn't changed and were still just as stuck up as ever. One incident that sticks out is when Courtney went up to some guy and nicely asked "Who are you?" The guys remark was "Who the hell are you? I'm Tony Denk" He said it in such a way that he made himself seem like everyone should know who he was and if you didn't, then "F*** You!!!" Oh well.... For the most part it was a decent time. I wouldn't say it was fun because all it entailed was people talking and drinking. There were only about 50 people out of a class of over 700, so hopefully there is a better turnout for our 10 year reunion.

Anyhow, I must now get ready for work... Hopefully I'll be better and update more often.....
